The Labyrinth
Walking into revelation
Are you so committed to one predetermined path that you've closed yourself to any other possible meaning or journey?
You are incredibly focused. When you know what you want, you can make a plan, commit to a direction and keep moving towards it even when the path gets complicated. You don't give up easily on what matters to you.
The Energy
When we know what we want, it is easy to decide what the path towards it should look like. We can begin to tightly control our direction, how each step should unfold, and even what the twists and turns along the way are supposed to mean.
The Labyrinth invites us to intentionally invite revelation as we move through the journey.
We walk the labyrinth because we are inviting revelation. We allow its twists, turns and spirals to change our perspective, unsettle what we thought we knew, and reveal possibilities we could not have seen from where we began.
The path may have something to show us that we could not have known to look for.
The Invitation
Loosen your grip on where the path should take you and what each part of the journey is supposed to mean.
A turn away from what you want is not necessarily taking you in the wrong direction. A snarl does not have to mean that something has gone wrong. A spiral may bring you back to something you thought you had already passed, but from somewhere new.
Let the path reveal itself as you move through it.
Rather than asking only, Is this taking me where I want to go?, become curious about another question:
What is this journey revealing to me?
A Way Through
Find somewhere in your life where you have become tightly attached to one direction, interpretation or outcome.
You don't have to abandon what you want. Instead, make room for the journey to offer you more than you knew to ask of it.
Walk with the intention to discover.
What becomes possible when you invite the path to reveal both itself and what it has to offer?
